Remembering Nora Ephron, Screenwriter

Nora Ephron, Screenwriter
Nora Ephron is well regarded for her sharp witted romantic comedy screenplays - notably Silkwood, When Harry Met Sally and Sleepless in Seattle for which she was nominated for Academy Awards for Best Original Screenplay. From New York to Hollywood, from interning for President Kennedy to delivering mail at Newsweek - Ephron's background and life experiences have played a profound role in her success.

She was no stranger to heartbreak, fear or happily every afters but as we all know, she was a wonderous storyteller who could create compelling plotlines and charismatic characters. Her work has left a mark on so many lives. I could spout a collection of 'movie' lines made famous by her work that I will never forget but I think the part of her legacy I will always cherish was her ability to turn life experience upside down. She could take a moment that should have you in tears and make it funny. That is talent!

According to Wikipedia...

On June 26, 2012, at the age of 71, Ephron died from pneumonia, a complication resulting from acute myeloid leukemia,[14] a condition with which she was diagnosed in 2006.

Thank you Ms. Ephron - we are appreciative for your contribution.
